Time to post another episode. For 21 we have a banger one.
This is a mix for Belgium talented producer, DJ and synthesizer conossieur Jetset Hifi (aka Guiseppe Manuele).

Jetset Hifi is the brainchild of a musical chameleon living the nightlife...Jetset Hifi is what happens when you’re surrounded by old dusty machines more then is good for you...Jetset hifi is dripping freshness crawling inside your ears dripping down your lips...Jetset Hifi is dubious explosions inside the studio resulting in nuclear illectronics...Now is the right time to put on your gasmasks and place your bets...Rien ne va plus!!!

This mix is razorsharp cutting turntablism straight from the ghetto's of synthopia capitol of the united nuclear states. Starting with a fresh jetset hifi remix from half of S.P.A.'s; Fuzzz's track Monk the mix is a loose canon on fire from top to bottom. Fresh jackin tunez mixed up in a hurendous tempo oldschool vynil style preferably consumed at high volumes. 50 minutes of musical mayhem...Put top dollar on this one!

For episode 20 we have a two part mix made by a young and very talented artist:. His name is...

ALIEN DELON

So, why i'm chose this funny nickname?

First - i think what everyone on this planet (me too!) feel themselfs a little non-human at the start of new millennium, and second - because messier Delon is the best French hero-lover for all times..

Who Am I ?

I'm young native Russian, live in Moscow, i have unfinished classical education (female choir conductorbig laugh
and about 8 years experience in electronic music...
When i was 14 years old, I hear electronic music for the first time - thanks to Oleg Kostrow - my first teacher and future partner in work. He was at that time - one of the well-known in Europe (with band called "Messer Fur Frau Muller" - samplodelic-lounge-surf) electronic composers, but he tired of his sound and try to find something new, when i met him. When we (or he, i don't remembersmiley
decide to made a electro-sintie-rock band with girl-singer and modern sound.. We called it "Supersonic Future" with hope for the love of young generationsmiley
We release two full CD albums and one 12'' - with songs and instrumental dance tracks on both russian and English... Behind this we also made two soundtracks for theater performance (more experimental sounding) and release it like albums too... It was the REALLY great experience!!!
Now I am officially leave the band - but sometimes we work togetherwinking

I am a DJ?

So.. No. I'm not a Dj, but i have a pretty big vinyl collection..
Sometimes i playing in some nightclubs over there by friend's requests onlysmiley

Here in Moscow people has absolutely bad taste in music.. but i don't know what they need.. and don't want to know itsmiley

About My Music:

Now i'm only starting my musical career.. But i'm already make my own sound and feel myself free in all technical aspects of my art. For the base i took the early 80s music - Italo-Disco and Electro-Hip-Hop. Also i remain inspired by Patrick Cowley's endless disco anthems. In that golden times, dance music sounded like a song, with rich analog arrangements and hard beats, voices from distant space and naive simple melodies..
And without many of modern limits..

Our guest in E18 is SRZ!

SRZ picks music for a living. You might even say that she is a professional tastemaker. Her addiction to music has led her to having three different radio shows, each of which specializes in a different part of the musical spectrum. There is downtempo and leftism on Daylife, Saturdays from 10am to 12 noon on Metrodance 95.1, new rock on La Hora Señalada, Saturdays from 8 to 9pm on FM Rock & Pop 95.9 and she wraps up the weekend with hip hop and sexy R&B on Soulful, Sundays from 10am to noon, also on Metro.

On top of her radio exploits, SRZ has also been a frequent guest DJ at many of the Buenos Aires' alternative club nights (Zizek, Compass, Phonorama as an invited no-DJ) and for the past two years has held a weekly residency at the Faena Hotel+Universe. She also appears sporadically in bars and at other off-beat events (Estudio Abierto, LeBar).

SRZ is a true soundtrack junkie, someone obsessed with selecting the perfect sounds to accompany everyday life. A lover of the groove, her sets can feature funkeiro, underground African music, mash-ups, indietronica and R&B.

In this set, she presents a collection of ethnic rare grooves and new global alternative dance music from the upcoming season..

Long time ago, there existed a place where people lived care-free -- the only laws governing the land were four-four beats and mandatory dancing until sun rise.
On our new episode this week, Adam Smith celebrates this magical land with a tour of classic house and acid from 1986 to 1993.
A few months back, two crates of old house records fell into his hands when a well known DJ has to hightail it out of New York. It took a while for Adam to prune the crap and unearth this pile of gems.
We hope you enjoy the results!

For the 9th episode we have an exquisite mix from DJ Rama.

When joining the band SK84Life in the mid 90s, Ramiro Gabelli realized the best place to channel his growing interest on cult hip hop and all kinds of downtempo styles was behind the decks.

After delivering scratches, loops and samples to short-success band Tumbas, he began playing different urban events, getting gradually involved in Buenos Aires’ bars and club scene.

Already known as Rama, he became part of Casa Comodor’s crew, a forward thinking space where art exhibitions, tastes and sounds converged. The emotional and eclectic character emerging from his wide musical background provided him a very personal style.

Towards the new millennium he joined fellows Zuker and Fabian Dellamonica in the dj booth and production team of Social parties, and since 2002 they pushed their musical affinities even further with Batonga!: a weekly night (now every Wednesday at Rumi) where they mix n’ fuse all sort of electronic styles with other genres ranging from rock to funk and electro.

Always present at the Creamfields Buenos Aires line up, Rama has also played world-fame Clubland nights at Pacha many times, and main events such as 1Live! and Southfest, where he’s shared stage with the likes of Ladytron, LCD Soundsystem, Medicine 8, Audio Bullys, Mylo, Ivan Smagghe and 2 Many djs.

All around Argentina, and eventually in South American cities, Rama spreads fun and diversity through his tunes selections, the same way he does it weekly at his Weekender* and Studio Mix* shows on Metrodance 95.1 FM.

The tracks are the following:

OMD - Magenta (Luciano Remix)
Joakim - Lonely Hearts (Dub version)

Our guest in E4 is the argentine DJ Juanma Grillo

Since 1995 to these days, the Juanma Grillo career proved to be spotless.

Juan combined his residencies in the PODESTA and POLITE venues with the creation of parties such as SOCIAL and HAPPY SUNDAYS: two legendary names in the Buenos Aires night history.

In 2006 he started a new multimedia night called MONKEY BUSINESS which hopefully will have new editions in 2007.

His unpredictable sets go from rock and pop to the more recent electro influenced styles, you can verify that in this excellent mix he gave us.

Our guest for this third episode is the young and talented DJ Lazaro Casanova.
He has been a resident DJ with Revolver, Miami, for the past two years. During this time he has been privileged to spin alongside with many talented live and guest DJ acts. Some of these acts have influenced and expanded the DJ stylings of Casanova into what it has grown to today.
He is part of a musical front to change the "indie rock clubs" into "indie dance clubs." In Miami, Casanova has been at times both criticized and commended for playing "house" music to rock kids. However, Casanova does not consider his sets house music, he sees it as an amalgamation of cutting edge sounds from many genres ultimately the music speaks for itself and the barriers of what is house and what is rock no longer reside in genre but instead changed into something that both rock & house fans can't quite put their fingers on.
Casanova has also worked on remixes for personal use and as of recently has been putting good time into his own tracks, which he has been distributing to his friends.
With the recent help of a few friends, Casanova is finally traveling with his music and given the chance to showcase his talent in other markets. This last summer, Casanova joined Juan Maclean and Mstrkrft on a tour across Canada.

With a solid career as a DJ since 2000, alt124 has evolved from a purely house based electronic sound to grounds near pop and rock music.

During the past years, he combined his residency in one of the seminal places of Madrid: Chill Out (aka Before Club) with raves, gigs and all kind of events all around the Spanish territory. He played with DJs such as Richie Hawtin, Monika Kruse, Luke Slater, Magda, Silicone Soul, Oscar Mulero, Xpansul, etc. Also, he’s been editor of the most influential electronic music website in Spain: Clubbingspain.com and he keeps this position actually.

Nowadays alt124, along with Dirty Porco Disco, his partner in the Madrid Acid Boys blog, is focused in a party called The Music Institute which celebrates the last Saturday of every month in the Madrid’s Low Club. The major buzz currently surrounding young Arveene is easy to explain, he has been hard at it since he was just 17 playing Dublin’s most seminal clubs, although only a nipper he showed huge promise from the off with a very dedicated and professional work ethic that set him apart from his peers, not to mention a natural flair for music and more importantly knowing what makes people rock without relying on big tunes and obvious choice records, in short.. he got the skills to pay the bills.

Lets take it to 2006…

Arveene makes the decision to get into the studio and start making his own music, he knocks out 2 bootlegs and suddenly the world is listening. Tours with The Prodigy and blows the place away every time. Soulwax get wind of the new kid on the block and ask him to join them on their stage at Hi Fi UK. Gets offered a residency in The End after his debut performance, plays there for Underwater, Bugged Out and Erol Alkan, things move up a level.

After a series of club dates across UK and Europe he founded music collective Clampdown which is primarily about good music from all genres in various venues, the emphasis is on quality and not current trends or fads. Clampdown hits London's famous Lock Tavern in Camden with a bang, first party had Arveene, Andrew Weatherall, James Lavelle and David Holmes rocking the rafters, attendees included Primal Scream, Radioslave, Dave Dorrell and Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich (all dancing)

Opens for the Prodigy at Hi Fi Ireland and finishes set with his own brand new mash up of Rage against the Machine, 20,000 people go nuts! We have it on video and it rocks. Daft Punk request him as their opening act at Irelands show at Marlay park, the show is historic and he played a blinder...the saga continues

Peeps and press quotes

“Tipped as the one to watch in Ireland, 26 year old Arveene plays a blend of eletro, funk, techno, reggae and break beat music”
-Sunday Tribune

“Arvo has played with us a good few times and always buzzes the crowd, I just heard is rage bootleg and its a monster tune that builds and builds then bursts into action but it never relies totally on the original rage song .a killer”
-Liam Howlett

“In Ireland’s club scene Arveene is a one man empire”
-Sunday Independent

“The boy Arveene who is a regular at top Irish clubs has just got a residency at legendary London night club, The End. His block rocking mix of punky funk and electro will ensure the 20,000 people who are there to see The Prodigy will be firing on all cylinders”
-The Star

“Arveene warmed up for me in Dublin and London a couple of times, and did exactly what a great DJ should do; kept me looking over to find out what certain records were and built the room perfectly. One for the future, Arveene is on it”
-Erol Alkan
